Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Rambox for Windows, Linux and macOS, and how to turn them on or off.

Most of what you do in Rambox can be done from the keyboard: jump between apps and workspaces, open the Command Center, start Focus mode, lock Rambox and more. This page lists every shortcut, with the Windows/Linux keys and the macOS keys side by side.

Shortcuts work even while you're typing inside an app.

Turn shortcuts on or off

If a Rambox shortcut clashes with one you use inside an app (or in another program), you can switch it off:

  1. Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click Shortcuts.
  3. Turn off the switch next to the shortcut you don't want. Turn it on again to bring it back.
  4. Click Save and close.

The panel groups shortcuts into App/Workspace navigation and Sections and Features, and shows the keys for your system. These settings are saved on each computer, so you can have different choices on different machines.

The 'Shortcuts' dialog on Windows with both groups, the switches, the key chips and the 'Save and close' button

The shortcuts marked Yes in the "Can be turned off" column below are the ones in this panel. The others are always on.

  • Go to specific tab goes from 1 to 9 (there's no 0 any more).
  • Quick search now opens the Command Center, and the Google search shortcut (Ctrl+E) is gone.
