Quick tip:
If you want to see our "Profiles" feature in action, head to the video below. ⬇️
Rambox includes "Profiles", a Pro feature that gives you the flexibility to manage sessions:
- Shared sessions: Log in once and reuse the same session across multiple apps (e.g., Gmail + Google Drive).
- Private sessions: Sign in to multiple accounts of the same service without conflicts. See THIS ARTICLE.
- Incognito sessions: Avoid storing history and cookies.
Where to find Profiles
You can configure Profiles in the Apps and Workspace Settings.
➡️ See also: How to configure/edit an existing app?
Default profiles:
There are four main Profiles:
- Primary (default profile)
- Inherit from Workspace (only for nested elements)
- Private (isolated session)
- Incognito
Creating and managing profiles:
By clicking the plus (+) sign, you can add and edit custom profiles.
-Globe icon → configure proxy settings per profile:
Auto detect (use Rambox General Settings)
No Proxy
HTTP, HTTPS, Socks4, Socks5 (manual configuration)
Note: proxy settings are profile-specific. Any app using that profile will share the same configuration.

-Wrench icon → profile maintenance options
-Pencil icon → rename profile
-Trash icon → delete profile
Use cases:
You can assign a profile to multiple apps. For example:
Create a “Work” profile → log into Gmail with your work account.
Assign the same “Work” profile to Google Drive → it will log in automatically with the same credentials.
You can also set a profile scheme at the workspace level. If nested apps are set to “Inherit from Workspace” (default), they’ll follow that workspace’s profile. For maximum isolation (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord), we recommend using Private profiles, which are the default when adding those apps.
